The Southeast Branch has a dedicated staff comprised of individuals who formerly worked at the East and Belmont locations and they have a passion for libraries that shines through in all that they do. The team at the Southeast Branch is determined to consistently provide the best customer experience possible.
Mr. Roma has been with Dayton Metro Library since 2009. Before becoming Branch Manager at the Southeast Branch, he served as Branch Manager at the Belmont and Northtown-Shiloh Branches. Mark is a fan of mysteries and sci-fi/fantasy. One of his favorite fantasy series is Discworld, by Terry Pratchett.
Bill McIntire joined the Dayton Metro Library in 2013. Before becoming Assistant Branch Manager at Southeast, he served as the archivist for Dayton Metro Library's Special Collections Division. He has over 20 years’ experience in museums and archival institutions, most notably with the Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright State University, and several local historical organizations. He has two advanced degrees from Wright State University and earned his MLIS from Kent State University. Bill enjoys reading a wide range of nonfiction, particularly military and diplomatic history.
Strong community partnerships include the Belmont Eastmont Hearthstone Community Council, and the Walnut Hills Neighborhood Association.
Young people benefit from our Children and Teen Services Librarians, who offer book talks at Belmont High School, and regularly visit Greenmont, Eastmont, Cleveland and Horace Mann schools, the Headstart program at Immaculate Conception, and other area preschools and daycares.
Construction of a 24,000 square foot branch next to Belmont High School is completed and the branch opened in August of 2019. Meeting rooms and the Opportunity Space are configured in a conference center-style. Click here to see renderings and a floor plan.
