Express yourself on the theme Our World! Create an original work of art in any media, and drop it off with a completed entry form at any Dayton Metro Library.

Entries accepted September 1 - 21

  • Enter one artwork only per person
  • 2 age groups: Grades 7-9 + 10-12
  • Amazon Gift Card Prizes awarded in each age category
  • 1st Place $75, 2nd Place $50, 3rd Place $25

Do You Love Drama?

If you're an aspiring playwright, this is your chance to shine! Write an 8-15 minute scene, and it could be staged at the Library!

Entries accepted October 1 - 31

  • 3 Age Groups: Grades 7-8, 9-10 + 11-12
  • One scene only per person
  • Must be original, not previously published or produced
  • 8 - 15 pages long (8-15 minutes)
  • Pages should be numbered; include a list of characters
  • No musicals or children’s plays

  • Winners will be announced at StoryCon: Teen Saturday, 11/16, at the Main Library Prizes awarded and readings staged on Saturday, 12/14, at the Main Library
